Introduction of the Drv8825 stepper motor
The DRV8825 stepper motor module is a communication board for the TI DRV8825 bipolar stepper motor module
This module has the same pins and interfaces as our A4988 stepper motor module, so it can be used as a replacement for higher performance of circuit boards in a wide variety of applications.
DRV8825 has the function of limiting current, overcurrent and overheat protection with 6 levels of micro-step (down to 1/32 steps). This module operates from 8.2 - 45V, providing a maximum current of 1.5A per phase without the need for heat dissipation or forced air flow (up to 2.2A per coil and supports full heat dissipation).
Characteristics:
Power delivery controls the orientation, simple steps
6 different steps: full step, half step, 1/4 step, 1/8 step, 1/16 step, and 1/32 step
Can directly connect to 3.3V and 5V systems
Automatically disconnects against overheating, over current and low voltage
Short circuit and ground protection
The ground welding gasket is below the IC and above the bottom of the PCB
The module size, pins and connector interface match our A4988 stepper motor modules in most respects (see the last section of this page for more information).
Adjustable current allows you to set the maximum current with the potentiometer, allowing you to use the voltage level above the rated voltage of your stepper motor to achieve higher step levels
Smart interrupt control automatically turns on correct current separation (fast or slow shutdown)

This product is a groundbreaking circuit board for the Allegro A4988 DMOS micro-stepper control circuit with converter and overcurrent protection; Please read data sheet A4988 carefully before using this product. This stepper motor module allows you to adjust the bipolar stepper motor in full, half, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 modes, with output power up to 35V and 2A.
The converter is the key to the ease of use of the A4988. By simply inputting a pulse into the input of the steps, one will be able to drive a stepper motor. There are no phase sequence boards, high frequency control currents or complex interfaces for circuit boards. The A4988 interface is ideal for applications without complicated or overloaded processors
