Product Description:
The intelligent controller consists of an SD card reader, a rotary encoder and a 20 character × 4-line LCD display. You can easily connect it to your ramps 1.4 board using the "smart adapter" included.
This panel is connected to your ramps 1.4 after you do not need your computer, your SD card intelligent controller power supply. Further all operations, such as calibration, axis movement can be done only with the rotary encoder's intelligent controller. There is no need for computer to print 3D design, just use G code design to store on SD card
Ramps is plug and play, but the firmware needs to be modified to support it. Take Marlin as an example, uncomment the two lines that have been annotated, compile and download them to the board, and you can use them.
Search the Configuration.h file

Delete the first two slashes and change to
#define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER
Recompile and download to use
